Ok, I'm not a veggan. This is typical northern German cuisine. That white stuff on the meat ... that is fat, pure fat. Lübeck is a "Hansa city", the Brussels of the middle ages. The restaurant is in a building dating back to the 1500's, still owned by the same association, the shipping association. Each captain had his own place and there was a level slightly higher where the elderly could keep an eye on the younger ones. The whole meal for two, with a bottle of good wine, dessert and grappa cost 55 USD.
