Afternoon walk in Trondheim
The days are getting shorter in the north. Walking back to the hotel in the afternoon, I saw the light …
I’ve gotten tired of cameras … equipment-wise, not imaging. So I’ve decided to use my daughter’s rejected Pentax digital (*ist DL). It’s simple, small, can use a fixed focal-length lens from the film days (a small, 28mm) and it has manual settings.
Go for it! (I secretly enjoyed making some clicks with my wife’s new digital camera, but I still like the Big Noise: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wm_harting/ )
best, etc

Hi Bill,
You know, just yesterday, after putting this up, I was in Flickr and looked up your page. I saw some “recent activity” in one of the Rollei galleries. The Rolleicord V fits into this little niche I’m working in too. I use a hand-held meter with the Pentax anyway and the Rolleicord isn’t much bigger.
But … I recently bought an Apple laptop. I don’t have the whole work-chain set up (read: scanner). Just found out yesterday, after posting this, how to get the Apple screen to look the same way (gamma-wise) as all the other screens in the world. I’ve had the laptop a few months now. Rather than becoming more and more of an Apple fan, I’ve been getting more and more fed up with it. I would have tossed it a couple of weeks ago but they have at least introduced a terminal window now so that you can get simple things done (like changing the names of folders etc). The lack of a right-hand mouse button is really a design flaw.
